City students selected to All County Band
Students from eight Middle Schools and seven High Schools traveled to Providence Grove High School to compete for participation in the All County Band Clinic on February 2nd. Twenty-four students from AHS, twenty-four students from NAMS, and ten students from SAMS were accepted into the band program.

Asheboro High School – Jose Badillo, Manuel Badillo, Ashley Bergman, David Bisese, Joshua Byrd, Kerstin Dalton, Monica De La Vega, Kory Edmundson, Rene Haro, Sean Howard, Miranda Hunter, Christopher Juberg, Daniel Lee, Nick Otranto, Loren Purvis, Matthew Queen, Denton Richey, Emma Scott, Bishop Sites, Stephanie Smith, Rebecca Smith, Allison VonCannon, Josiah Williams, and Mykala Wright.
North Asheboro Middle School – Caleb Burkholder, McKenzie Byrd, Katherine Chriscoe, Claire Davidson, Landis Davidson, Christina Gallegos, Samuel Guizar, Chris Hamlett, Braxton Jones, Caitlyn Lamb, Brandon Lowe, Hannah Maness, Jordan Miller, Obed Miranda, Hannah O'Briant, Leonardo Perez, Maggie Redding, Sadie Richey, Daniela Romero, Erik Schultz, Emily Skoglund, Kayla Surratt, Michael Tyson, and Carmen Vazquez.
South Asheboro Middle School – William Aquino, Hannah Brown, Hannah Clark, Josiah Clark, Miah Dunn, Ladasha Howie, Ryan Hughes, Abigail McBride, William Moon, and Molly Wells.
The 2012 Randolph County Schools and Asheboro City Schools All County Band Clinic will be held on February 23rd and 24th at Asheboro High School. The culminating event is the clinic concert set for February 24th at 7:30pm in the Asheboro High School Performing Arts Center. The community is invited to attend this free concert, featuring great music and an array of talented musicians.
