Community invited to "Jazz It Up" on May 6th
The North Asheboro Middle School (NAMS) jazz ensemble, NAMS JAMZ, will be sponsoring “Jazz It Up!”, a fundraiser on Friday, May 6th, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The North Asheboro Middle School gymnasium will be transformed into a jazz club for an evening of dinner, music and dancing!
This evening will include performances by NAMS JAMZ as well as the AHS Comet Blues and the Randolph Jazz Band, a local semi-professional jazz ensemble. Dinner will be catered by Something Different and will feature a cheese tray, salad, spaghetti and garlic bread, Oreo pie and a choice of drinks. Vegetarian entrees are available upon request.
Dinner will be served from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, followed by more music and optional dancing. Tickets are $10.00 and must be purchased by May 2nd; please see any NAMS JAMZ member to order tickets or email Scott A. Benhart (sabenhart@asheboro.k12.nc.us) to order.
Proceeds will be used to offset expenses for a field trip to the 2011 Atlanta Jazz Festival over the Memorial Day weekend. Please join us for a memorable evening of great food and music!
