Expert Projects on public display March 18th

Asheboro City Schools will host their annual Expert Project Fair on Thursday, March 18th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the cafeteria at Guy B. Teachey School, 294 Newbern Avenue. The community is invited to come out and see the wonderful projects the 4th and 5th grade gifted education students have completed. Student work from all five elementary schools will be on display.

The Expert Project is a yearlong study that begins with the selection of a topic in October. Topics are chosen by the students but must correlate to the N.C. Standard Course of Study for their grade. After topics are selected, students spend the next four months working on their projects at home and in the community.

As always, there is a wide variety of topics and the fair will have something of interest for all age groups.
