Based on Victor Hugo’s classic novel, LES MISÉRABLES is an epic saga that sweeps through three turbulent decades of 19th century French history. The show is also the story of one man, the fugitive Jean Valjean, who is pitted against the self-righteous Inspector Javert, in a lifelong struggle to evade capture.
“Being on stage for the first time is so much cooler than I thought. I saw the AHS production six years ago, and it has been my goal ever since to play the part of Madam Therdinar. When I saw the performance, I got all the principal actors to sign my program,” said Tabitha Robinson, AHS senior.
Fellow senior, Raziel Blanco said “This has been the highlight of my high school career. It is a very powerful show.”
This ambitious production has a cast of over 40 students from AHS students, as well as students from Loflin, Balfour and Lindley Park Schools.
Maggie Jane Kern, 1st grader at Lindley Park summed her experience up like this, “I like my part and all the cast have been really nice to me. Everyone should come and see the show.”
